From Justin´s sermon: She who was husbandless, sonless, and in mourning, she who epitomized the "poor" to whom Jesus has come to bring good news, was the real recipient of Jesus' compassionate and reconciling ministry. While we never know how the widow reacted when her living son was placed back in her arms, I imagine her words as those of the psalmist... “Weeping may linger for the night, but joy comes with the morning. [For] You have turned my mourning into dancing; you have taken off my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, so that my soul may praise you and not be silent!” May God´s story, lived out in our everyday missional lives, inspire us to praise God and not be silent.
